One-Two-One, a historic gem in downtown Knoxville, was once the bustling headquarters of the JFG Coffee Company. This iconic building, rich in local heritage, has been meticulously renovated to blend its storied past with modern elegance. The transformation has not gone unnoticed; One-Two-One proudly received a 2023 Orchid Award, celebrating its outstanding contribution to the city’s architectural landscape. Today, it stands as a testament to Knoxville’s commitment to preserving its history while fostering innovation and growth.

The interior structural scope of the renovation included a new storefront system, two new stairs between the floors, a new elevator, and other miscellaneous structural modifications throughout the building. There were significant improvements made to the roof of the original structure. The existing roof was retrofit for new rooftop mechanical units. Additionally, a new, occupiable rooftop structure was constructed on top of the existing roof. A new stair shaft and elevator were added to connect the basement with the new rooftop.
