WHO OR WHAT INSPIRED YOU TO GO INTO STRUCTURAL ENGINEERING?
Growing up, I always had an affinity for building and construction (there were lots of Legos to go around). My brother studied mechanical engineering in college, which inspired me to study civil/structural engineering.
WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE PLACE IN THE WORLD? WHY?
The state of Florida. From the theme parks, beaches, and sports teams, I love it all!
WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE BOOK OR MOVIE?
My favorite book is “This Present Darkness” by Frank Peretti. While I don’t have a favorite movie, my favorite TV show is Psych!
IF YOU COULD HAVE LUNCH WITH ANY ONE PERSON, WHO WOULD IT BE AND WHY?
My grandfather, Donald Grubbs. He was a construction foreman who primarily built bridges, and I’d love to hear his stories about his experience in the industry.
WHAT’S ON YOUR ‘BUCKET LIST?
I’d love to visit all 50 states within the next few years. I’ve currently visited 47 states, so I’m already super close!
WHAT DO YOU LIKE TO DO FOR FUN?
I enjoy live music, theme parks, sporting events, and enjoying the great outdoors!

To do the best in whatever I put my mind to, both in my personal and professional life.
