WHO OR WHAT INSPIRED YOU TO GO INTO ENGINEERING/DESIGN?
I have always loved math, science, building, and fixing things. I had a great mentor after high school who introduced me to structural engineering, and I have never looked back! I especially love this discipline out of all the engineering fields because of the concrete (pun intended) and the lasting impact it has in people’s lives.

WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE PLACE IN KNOXVILLE (or surrounding areas)? WHY?
Gregory Bald – the best hike I have done in my life! The view up there is stunning and you may even be lucky enough to see bears!

WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE BOOK OR MOVIE?
I can’t say that I spend a ton of time sitting around when I’m not working, but I do love the Lord of the Rings books and movies.

IF YOU COULD HAVE LUNCH WITH ANY ONE PERSON, WHO WOULD IT BE AND WHY?
I would love to have lunch with my Grandpa Jack. He died when I was 3 so I never knew him, but from what everyone tells me he must have been an inspirational man!

Hiking the Grand Canyon.

WHAT DO YOU LIKE TO DO FOR FUN?
I love hiking in the mountains, playing volleyball or soccer, and working outdoors.

I am passionate about using my life to serve others and show the love of Jesus to everyone I meet.
