WHO OR WHAT INSPIRED YOU TO GO INTO STRUCTURAL ENGINEERING?
I think my love for tall buildings, steel bridges, concrete structures, specialty structures (Dams) etc. had a big hand in my choosing the profession.

WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE PLACE IN THE WORLD? WHY?
Table Rock State Park in SC is one of my favorites. Our daughters have grown up going there and swimming there and playing in the waterfalls and on the rock water slides!

IF YOU COULD HAVE LUNCH WITH ANY ONE PERSON, WHO WOULD IT BE AND WHY?
My paternal grandfather, Allen Jacobs Sr. He grew up in an orphanage with some of his siblings, graduated college, went to WWII, and became a Presbyterian minister. And he had a wife and family of 6 children!


WHAT’S ON YOUR ‘BUCKET LIST?’
Sightseeing of ancient Megaliths and recently discovered ancient structures (pyramids, abandoned cities, etc.)

WHAT DO YOU LIKE TO DO FOR FUN?
Amateur road racing (in inexpensive cars but on some of the best road courses in the SE), Watching my daughters play sports, boating, exercise, concerts

Family, Faith, Fitness, Live music
