WHERE DID YOU GO TO SCHOOL?
Undergrad: Tennessee Tech University
Graduate: University of Tennessee

WHO OR WHAT INSPIRED YOU TO GO INTO ENGINEERING/DESIGN?
In general, I was inspired by architecture/construction. I initially thought that architecture might be the field for me, but after shadowing an architect for a day, I realized the structural elements of the buildings were the primary components that I was interested in. As a result, I pursued a degree in civil engineering with an emphasis in structures.

WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE PLACE IN KNOXVILLE? WHY?
I love any part of the urban wilderness in South Knoxville. Whether rock climbing at the Ijams crag or trail riding at Baker’s Creek, I love taking advantage of the numerous avenues for outdoor entertainment that Knoxville offers.

WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE BOOK OR MOVIE?
Favorite Book: The Phantom Tollbooth
Favorite Movie: Sahara

IF YOU COULD HAVE LUNCH WITH ANY ONE PERSON, WHO WOULD IT BE AND WHY?
As a huge New Orleans Saints fan, I would love to get lunch with Drew Brees.

WHATS ON YOUR “BUCKET LIST?”

I would love to visit the Havasupai reservation in Arizona and swim at the base of Havasu Falls. If you are unfamiliar, a quick google search will probably put it on your bucket list too!

WHAT DO YOU LIKE TO DO FOR FUN?
I am an outdoors enthusiast. I love camping, rock climbing, playing outdoor sports, and just being in nature.

WHAT ARE YOU PASSIONATE ABOUT?
As a long-time resident of Knoxville, I am very passionate about the growth and development of the city. I love seeing neglected areas transform into thriving and diverse neighborhoods. I also love spending time with my church family and fostering relationships that cultivate a strong sense of faith-based community.

IF YOU COULD ONLY EAT ONE MEAL FOR THE REST OF YOUR LIFE, WHAT WOULD IT BE?
Probably some form of Asian cuisine. I love a good Panang Curry or some combination of Hibachi.

Ambitious. Detailed. Fun.
